Fast forward to Michael designing tools for potters, and the Curly Red Mudwire was born. This tool is more than just a cut-off wire—the coiled wire creates a stunning pattern as it’s pulled through the clay. It’s perfect for faceting, offering a beautiful texture on wood-fired or salt-fired pots, as well as underglazes that break, like celadon or temmoku.

The handles are made from durable polymer and are ergonomically shaped for a comfortable grip, eliminating the need to wrap the wire around your fingers. The stainless steel coiled wire arrives compressed, and you can pull it to create the curl that suits your style.
